Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position on a night shift, requiring a MI RN license and strong surgical care experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital Med / Surg Tele unit (4N), which is a 46-bed surgical floor
  • Provides care for trauma surgery, post-bariatric surgery, post-abdominal surgery, post-amputation surgery, urological cases, as well as overflow medical and cardiac patients
  • Uses Cerner for electronic charting; Cerner experience preferred
  • Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • No call requirements
  • Required to work every other holiday
  • Responsible for the care of post-surgical patients, including trauma, bariatric, abdominal, and amputation cases
  • Provides support for overflow medical and cardiac patients as needed
  • First-time travelers accepted for this assignment
  • Scrub color or dress code not specified

    • Requirements

  • Active MI RN license required for consideration
  • Minimum one year of relevant RN experience
  • Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
