Position Overview : Join our dynamic team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neurosurgery department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including those undergoing complex surgical procedures and treatments in a supportive environment.

Location : Aurora St Lukes Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215

Pay Range : $37.50 - $56.25
Full-Time Hours : 36 hours per week

Unit Overview : Work in our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, providing care to patients who have undergone :

Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections

Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries

Care for hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients

Key Responsibilities :

Deliver and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure compassionate and effective care.

Utilize clinical judgment and critical thinking for optimal patient outcomes.

Engage in positive patient experiences across the care continuum.

Required Qualifications :

Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Completion of an accredited nursing program.

Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Skills and Abilities :

Ability to provide holistic patient-centered care.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in electronic medical records and computer systems.

Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferring patients.

Ability to operate various healthcare equipment.
