They are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Cash Applications Specialist to join their growing finance team.
Position Summary :
The Accounts Receivable / Cash Applications Specialist will play a key role in managing high-volume cash applications and maintaining accuracy across both U.S. and Canadian accounts. This position works closely with internal AR staff, banking partners, and external vendors to ensure timely and precise cash posting. The ideal candidate is hands-on, adaptable, and motivated to take ownership of processes and grow into future leadership opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process and apply high-volume cash receipts (ACH, checks, wires, and credit card payments).
- Reconcile unapplied cash and research discrepancies to ensure accurate posting.
- Communicate with banks and assist with JP Morgan integrations and other process improvement projects.
- Support the Accounts Receivable team with data entry, account updates, and payment-related tasks.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve cash application efficiency.
- Take ownership of the cash applications process and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide assistance across AR functions as needed, maintaining flexibility and engagement.
- Demonstrate initiative and professionalism with opportunities to grow into a Team Lead role for high performers.
Qualifications :
2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable and / or Cash Applications.Proven experience managing high-volume payment posting across multiple payment types.Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.ERP experience required (SAP preferred).Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data manipulation).Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Background in manufacturing, retail, distribution, or industrial supply industries strongly preferred.Self-starter attitude with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.Why This Opportunity :
