Job description

Contracting Officer Team Lead

Serves as team lead and Contracting Officer providing advice, guidance and expertise to Seattle District Chief of Contracting. Responsibilities include advising the District Chief of Contracting on personnel resources, developing plans for achieving performance goals, enhancing small business participation in contracts, and serving as an advisor to the District Chief of Contracting and other key officials in all aspects of contracting. Participates in operational planning, represents the District Chief of Contracting in contacts with outside agencies, oversees contract claims and disputes, and negotiates contract modifications.

Minimum Qualifications for the GS-13 : Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes performing pre-award, post-award, contract price / cost analysis and negotiations for Construction, Operations and Maintenance, Services, Supplies or Architect Engineering projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade / level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement : Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
