ER RN Job Details – Albany, GA

Location : Albany, Georgia 31701 (Southwest Georgia healthcare jobs)

Facility Setting : Acute Care – Emergency Room

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Duration : 17 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 3 / 16 / 2026)

Shifts : 12-hour evenings (3 : 00pm – 3 : 00am)

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Weekend Requirement : Every 3rd or 4th weekend

Holiday Requirement : Every other holiday

Unit Details : 25 monitored beds, 6 fast treatment beds, 2 trauma bays, behavioral lockdown area

Scrub Color : Caribbean Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Georgia or compact state) – required for Georgia nursing jobs

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience in an acute care setting

Preferred : Travel nursing experience or 5+ years in a Level 1 Trauma Facility

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS or ASLS, CPI (TNCC preferred)

Experience with Meditech 6.15 EMR required

Ability to pass online Cardiac Rhythms test (minimum 80%) and ESI Triage Exam during orientation

COVID immunization not required; weekly testing available for unvaccinated nurses

Must meet 75-mile radius rule (address on driver's license must be at least 75 miles from facility)

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages and acuity levels

Perform triage, assessment, and stabilization of trauma, neuro, orthopedic, and medical emergencies

Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR

Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, nurse aides, paramedics, and behavioral health staff

Initiate IVs, draw labs, and manage cardiac monitoring and ventilators

Support fast track area for less acute patients and behavioral lockdown for psychiatric emergencies

Maintain safety and compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards

Participate in ongoing education, orientation, and skills validation
