Job Title : Technical Program Manager III for Launch Operations Job Description
The Technical Program Manager III will serve as the Single Threaded Owner for inputs and outputs to Launch Operations for ALG and Hosted Payload Services. This position involves close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate satellites with dispenser and launch vehicle hardware. The role requires technical leadership and guidance in various aspects, including testing requirements, facility and equipment planning, integration and test application implementation, process control, design for manufacturability, project management, and tooling design.
Responsibilities
- Lead the integration and testing of space hardware with a focus on hardware testing and test equipment.
- Collaborate with Launch Operations / Mission Management on relationships with Launch Providers, Dispenser providers, and Payload Processing Facility leadership.
- Provide technical challenges to assumptions and requirements in dynamics and thermal analysis, design engineering, and tooling engineering.
- Manage day-to-day deliverables, dependencies, and schedule, driving projects through incremental phases.
- Establish processes to track goals, objectives, milestones, progress, and risks.
- Lead an ongoing launch readiness program to systematically drive progress and complete program milestones.
- Identify and operationalize metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
Essential Skills
Extensive experience in space hardware integration and testing.Software test engineering proficiency, including Python and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.Experience with aerospace defense, test case development, and system testing.Proficiency in tools such as Jira or Roadmap for project management.Experience working with Bill of Materials (BOMs) and test equipment or hardware.Knowledge of Linux, satellite technology, satellite antennas, and Ruby.Additional Skills & Qualifications
7+ years of technical product or program management experience.10+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams.Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and building processes.Preferred : 8+ years of experience managing complex technology projects.Preferred : 5+ years of experience in hardware development, test lab, space / aerospace maintenance, or hands-on engineering environments.Work Environment
The role is based onsite at the Northridge, CA location, requiring collaboration with various teams and departments to achieve project goals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00 / hr.
