Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the business unit through the installation, programming, start-up and maintenance of automation and process control equipment
- Responsible for the design, specification, installation, programming, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automation equipment in order to improve plant system operation / uptime and reduce total operating costs
- Support all types of plant activity including DCS, PLC, measurement facilities, natural gas collection systems, gas compressors, and gas plant processing equipment
- Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and Information Technology groups
- Thoroughness and attention to detail are required when working with complex PLC programs and advanced process control systems
- Subject to overtime and call-out work as needed
- Other tasks may be assigned to support operations as necessary
- Understanding of pneumatic instrumentation : calibration and maintenance
Education And / or Work Experience Requirements
Education : High School Diploma or GEDExcellent interpersonal and teamwork skillsExcellent diagnostic and repair skills for complex problems in automation systemsExcellent knowledge of automation host systemsSkillful in reading electronic schematics, identifying components, and understanding their functionsAble to read, program, install and troubleshoot complex PLC programsGood computer skillsWorking Conditions
Will be working in an office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computerWill work outdoors in adverse or extreme weather conditionsWill be required to frequently drive to other field facilities within their assigned regionAvailable outside of normal working hours as needed for business necessityPhysical Requirements
