Job description
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist who must have CCDS or CDIP credentials.
Key Responsibilities
Improve the quality and completeness of clinical documentation in the legal medical record
Facilitate necessary documentation through interaction with physicians, HIM, and coding staff for optimal reimbursement
Educate physicians on clinical documentation needs and coding opportunities
Required Qualifications
Must have a license to practice as a Registered Nurse or be credentialed as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS
At least 3 years of Acute Care (inpatient) and Concurrent Clinical Documentation Specialist experience
CCDS or CDIP credential is required
