MEDICAL ASSISTANT

SAN ANTONIO TX 78258

Starting at $16.00-$18.00 / hr DOE
Stone Oak area, San Antonio, TX
Mon-Fri Office Hours
Weekly Pay via pay card or Direct Deposit

MEDICAL ASSISTANT DUTIES :

Clinical Support : Assist physicians during exams and procedures, take patient histories, record vital signs, and prepare patients for medical evaluations.

Medical Procedures : Administer medications and injections, perform basic lab tests, and prepare specimens for analysis as directed.

Patient Care & Education : Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and ensure a clean, organized environment for care delivery.

Administrative Tasks : Manage appointment scheduling, maintain accurate patient records, and support billing, coding, and other administrative duties as needed.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS :

Experience : 1-2 years of relevant, hands-on experience as a Medical Assistant. (Candidates with a consistent work history in healthcare with no significant gaps in employment are preferred .)

Certification : Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred, but not required.

Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
