Job Description :

Hiscox USA is currently searching for a dynamic, engaging and solutions-oriented underwriter to drive our media product. Here at Hiscox, we know how to underwrite Media. From Creatives to YouTube / TikTok channels to VFTs, we know the emerging risks. Media Liability insurance provides coverage for the needs of media clients creating or disseminating content. This includes broad protection for broadcasters and publishers who are at risk while constantly updating their methods of content distribution globally. Advertising agencies need coverage as they boldly create, plan, and handle innovative and dynamic marketing campaigns in an increasingly fluid market. Video and film producers need the confidence necessary to move forward with small productions or Hollywood blockbusters-without worrying about substantial liability claims that can arise even when all necessary clearances have been obtained.

What You'll Be Doing :

This position provides a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced, dynamic team. As a Media Underwriter, you will be supporting and actively contributing to the team's strategic growth and execution of goals. You will be responsible for underwriting a book of new and renewal business and managing a few programs. You will also work closely with other underwriters, product leaders and team leaders to be a solution provide in this evolving sector. The role also carries the responsibility for developing new broker relationships and increasing the depth of existing broker relationships throughout the region. At times, regional travel may be required including industry events and broker visits.

Job Requirements :

You are a driven and motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic looking for meaningful work. You enjoy working with brokers to build a book of business and you our passionate about the power of superior customer service and offerings. You also have some knowledge of entertainment and / or professional underwriting experience while having the desire to develop your technical underwriting and business development skills.

Salary Range - $80,000 - $110,000

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
