Overview
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining our mail sorting machines and equipment at client locations in the greater Washington, DC metro area and various other locations around the country. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on interesting equipment in various environments while contributing to the continued rapid growth of the company.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating travel with customers and team leadership
- Travel frequently and on short notice
- Work independently on-site
- Repair, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on mail sorting machines in the field
- Collaborate with the existing field service team
- Maintain documentation and create reports
Skills
Proficient with all hand-held tools, including drills, drivers, jigsaws, portablebandsaws, grindersGood at traveling, meaning experience catching flights / trains and using rental carsKnowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
Knowledge of motors, belts, pulley systemsHave a keen eye for detail and quality assuranceExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systemsSelf-motivatingQualifications
At least five years of experience in field serviceProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to read shop drawingsAbility to adhere to a timelineExperience with traveling frequentlyEffectively communicate with fellow team members and leadershipValid driver’s licenseAble to lift, move and travel with up to 100lbs of tools and partsAble to crouch, crawl, and work on the ground for extended periodsClean background checkEligible to work in the United StatesJob Type : Full-time
Pay : $75,000.00 + per year
