Cérélia's newly established Frozen Breakfast Business Unit is driving an ambitious growth strategy, backed by two manufacturing facilities :
- US Waffle in Liberty, SC, and Marson Foods in Hazelwood, MO.
- To effectively support the rapid scaling of operations at our state-of-the-art Hazelwood facility, Cérélia is seeking a dynamic and skilled Plant Controller to join our team in Hazelwood, MO.
- The Plant Controller will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining robust financial processes, internal controls, and analytical tools.
- Key responsibilities will include detailed account analysis and reconciliations, assisting with the budgeting process including cash flow forecasting and analysis, audit preparation and internal control oversight.
This strategic position will report directly to the CFO of the Frozen Breakfast Business Unit, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the COO of Marson Foods operations, ensuring alignment and seamless collaboration across financial and operational functions. Primary Responsibilities Financial Results and Reporting :
Guide financial decision-making by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing effective policies and procedures.Collect, interpret, and analyze financial data to provide insightful reporting with an emphasis on analytics.Financial Systems and Operational Efficiencies :
Continuously review, recommend, and implement improvements in financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.Assist with the preparation of comprehensive monthly and annual financial reports.General Accounting :
Identify and reconcile financial discrepancies, analyzing account details to resolve issues proactively.Analyze financial information and summarize financial status Advise and support managers with informed financial insights and guidance.Verify and accurately post transactions to journals, ledgers, and manage adjusting entries and related records.Assist with preparing detailed monthly reporting packages covering key aspects of P&L and Balance Sheet.Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations with backup and thorough supporting analysis.Assist with the reconciliation of asset accounts (e.g., Bank, Accounts Receivable) and liability accounts (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accruals).Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including all intercompany and clearing accounts.Provide financial insights and ad-hoc reporting analyses as required.Support the external audit process and year-end financial requirements, closely collaborating with audit teams.Participate actively in transformation initiatives, including process improvements and ERP system implementations.Qualifications 1-2 years of public accounting or 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing Bachelor's degree (B.A) in Accounting or Finance is required CPA or equivalent designation preferred Systems :
