About the Role
As our Communications Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our division's narrative through various written mediums. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Content creation
·Write and edit news stories, articles, and feature pieces that are accurate, engaging, and well-researched.
·Conduct interviews and research to gather information for news and feature articles.
·Ensure all content adheres to university editorial standards and guidelines.
Social media management
·Develop and implement a social media strategy to enhance division’s online presence and engagement.
·Create, curate, and manage published social media content (LinkedIn).
·Monitor social media trends and audience engagement and adjust strategies accordingly.
·Respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner.
Email Marketing
·Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to promote content, events, and other initiatives.
·Write compelling email copy and create engaging subject lines.
·Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
·Maintain and segment email lists to ensure targeted and effective communication.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, marketing, or a related field.
·Proven experience as a writer, journalist, or in a similar role.
·Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
·Strong understanding of social media platforms and email marketing tools.
·Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
·Exceptional organizational abilities.
·Strong research skills and attention to detail.
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
·Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
