• Assesses and documents initial data collection on patient admissions and subsequent reassessment at least once a shift according to policy and procedure.\n
• Documents and communicates effectiveness of nursing interventions and the patient's response to interventions in the medical record.\n
• Communicates at change of shift, accurate reports, verbal or written, of patients' behavior, status, and issues requiring follow up.\n
• Utilizes effective communication to orient patients to the program while explaining program / facility philosophy, policies and procedures to patients, families, and other staff.\n
• Utilizes proper procedures in the application of special treatment procedures (restraint and seclusion) according to hospital policy and procedure and State of Kentucky Mental Health Laws.\n\nBenefits for staff include : \n

• Current license to practice nursing in Kentucky or (eligible to receive or renew).\n
• Experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting is required.\n
