Location : Centralia, WA 98531 (Pacific Northwest)

Healthcare Setting : Short Term Acute Care Hospital – MedSurg ICU

Contract Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : December 2, 2025

End Date : March 3, 2026

Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratio : Typically 1 : 2 (may adjust based on acuity)

Charting System : EPIC

Weekend Requirement : Yes

On-Call : No

Floating : Required between similar ICU units per hospital policy

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or Compact State

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience required

Preferred : Charge nurse experience, community hospital background, trauma nursing experience

Experience with EPIC charting preferred

Ability to provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years

Reliable transportation required

Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the MedSurg ICU

Monitor and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure

Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips

Perform arterial and central line management, blood product administration, and continuous IV sedation

Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and acute stroke management

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, and pharmacy

Float to similar ICU units as needed

Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC

Participate in unit-based orientation and ongoing nursing education modules
