Job Details

As a Real Estate Legal Assistant, your responsibilities will include :

1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and editing real estate documents and contracts.

2. Conducting comprehensive research on property appraisers and preparing detailed reports on findings.

3. Ensuring legal compliance in all real estate transactions and activities.

4. Managing attorney calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating deadlines.

5. Preparing and maintaining accurate billing records for attorneys, including drafting retainers and managing expense reports.

6. Utilizing a comprehensive understanding of legal terminology to facilitate effective communication between attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.

7. Providing general administrative support to the legal team, such as filing, copying, and answering phone calls.

8. Assisting in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence, ensuring all materials are accurate and properly formatted.

9. Participating in the development of case strategies and assisting in trial preparations.

Qualifications :

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications :

1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably within a real estate law setting.

2. Demonstrated experience in commercial real estate transactions.

3. Proficiency in legal compliance and legal terminology.

4. Proven ability to manage calendars and coordinate schedules in a fast-paced environment.

5. Experience with attorney billing, including drafting retainers and managing expense reports.

6. Strong research skills, with specific experience in researching property appraisers.

7. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

9. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
