SUMMARY
The LunchMaster is a leading provider of nutritious meals for schools and community programs. We operate a high-volume production and distribution center in Hayward, CA, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and food safety.
The Warehouse & Inventory Crew Member is responsible for receiving, organizing, and tracking inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient warehouse operations. This position supports the daily movement of goods in and out of the facility, maintains inventory accuracy, and helps ensure our team has the right ingredients and supplies to meet production needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Receive incoming shipments, verify deliveries against purchase orders, and reportdiscrepancies
Label and organize inventory in designated storage areas (dry, refrigerated, frozen)
Pick and stage ingredients and packaging materials for daily production needs
Perform routine inventory counts and assist with cycle counts and reconciliations
Monitor stock levels and notify supervisor of low inventory or excess
Ensure proper rotation of products (FIFO) to minimize waste
Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas
Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines
Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles as needed
Support inventory-related data entry and record keeping
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in a warehouse, inventory, or logistics role preferred
Some required experience operating Forklift Machinery in a Warehouse environment.
Basic computer or inventory system skills a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detai
lAbility to lift 50 lbs and work in cold storage environments
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow detailed instructions
Team-oriented with good communication skills
Food handling or warehouse certifications a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
A working knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written; Spanish is a plus. Must have the ability to interpret written and verbal requests as required. Strong oral and written communication skills coupled with the interpersonal skills are needed to create and maintain a team centered environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands of this position are typical of those found in a warehouse & food service setting. Some lifting will be required. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. is required.
