What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For
The Pathways to Opportunity Program Specialist position reports directly to the Pathways to Opportunity Program Dean.
The Program Specialist assists program staff with duties related to the ongoing support and coordination of the Pathways to Opportunity Program areas, including : (1) Corrections Education, (2) Career Pathways , and (3) Statewide Pathways to Opportunity & STEP .
This work includes facilitating purchase orders, contracts, paying invoices, purchasing goods, supporting travel, and grant reporting.
While this position will support Pathways to Opportunity work occurring college and statewide, this position will be primarily located at the Southeast Campus, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule.

Works well independently and collaboratively with college teams, demonstrating skill in taking initiative and approaching problem solving with a customer service solution-focused mindset.
Experience working with contract and grant fund accounting processes and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines, ensuring timely dissemination of information to stakeholders and appropriate parties to support informed decision-making.
Strong knowledge of student information systems like Banner or Workday Learning, especially the Finance Module (processing invoices, contracts and purchasing process, reimbursements, hiring procedures, and travel) and Student Modules.
Experience with complex data management, including data collection, research, sorting, analyzing, and reporting of accurate information using tools like Google Suite and MS Excel.
Demonstrated awareness of one’s own cultural background and how it influences perception, values, and practices and how these perceptions, values, and practices shape their work.
Minimum Qualifications

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work is typically performed in a standard office environment and exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.
Duties typically involve managing multiple priorities, handling interruptions, deadlines and other work pressures.
Some positions may require local and long distance travel and the use of a personal vehicle.
Learned physical skill is required for keyboarding and ten-key functions. Occasional lifting, guiding and / or carrying of light weight materials and equipment.

How We Determine Initial Salary Placement
Starting Salary Expectations
The first two steps of the range are : $58,180.00 to $59,923.00 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.
