Position Overview
Coverage : Main hospital ED + affiliated FSER (bulk coverage at main hospital)
Setting : Level II Trauma Center
Annual Patient Volume :
61,000 in Main ED
16,000 in Pediatric ED
ED Capacity :
42 total beds, including 5 fast-track and 5 monitored beds
3 trauma bays (1 pediatric)
Coverage :
70 hours total physician coverage (Main + Peds ED)
60 hours APP coverage
Admission Rate : 26%
EMR : Meditech, Pdoc, Dragon dictation
Specialty Resources :
Comprehensive stroke facility with biplane
Interventional cardiac cath lab
Code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia
Dedicated ED glide scopes & ultrasound machines
Hospital Support :
24 / 7 in-house hospitalists & intensivists
No floor code or consult responsibilities
Clinical Expectations
Emergency Department patient care (adult and pediatric)
Coordination with trauma, cardiology, neurology, and intensivist teams
Procedures as required in a Level II Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center setting
Requirements
Board Certification : ABEM required
Training : EM Residency trained (Required)
Licensure : Active FL license (or eligibility)
