This role provides first class customer service to new and existing customers while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
The Senior Estimator is responsible for developing strategies to meet project goals and be able to effectively present cost estimates. This position performs all aspects of the estimating process, including evaluating risk, preparation of budgets, review, understanding of and complying with the RFP, blueprints, specifications and other documents while also maintaining relationships and profitability throughout the estimating process.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 -10 years estimating experience with quantity takeoffs, engineering design knowledge
- Project management / supervision experience
- Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication with all participants as point of contact to communicate project status and handle any issues that arise
- Ability to accurately read and understand specifications and drawings
- Working knowledge of construction costs and principles
Essential Functions :
Understand commercial roofing project requirements, scope and objectivesReview project plans, requirements and specificationsCoordinate subcontract solicitations, job walks, resources, equipment and informationDetermine labor and construction equipment costsPreparation of project proposals, time frames, schedules, and budgetMonitor working hours, budget, and plans using project management toolsCreate and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reportsOrganize subcontractor cost control, change orders, pre and post project documentation, purchase orders and proposalsPrepare all subcontracts and all project submittalsBuild and maintain relationships with GC / Owner and vendors regarding RFIs, change orders, and project schedule.Schedule inspections and pull jurisdictional permitsSolicit and communicate with subcontractors through the Bid ProcessSecure all bid documents (bid forms and quote letters)Prepare estimates through all levels of designReview preliminary quotes and pre-bid estimates with Project TeamAssist jobsite staff with estimates after bid awardMaintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractorsBenefits :
