HR Generalist 4 / Employee Relations

The Fulton County Board of Health provides a variety of services that help protect residents from health threats, increase access to health services to improve health outcomes, and provide information that assists Fulton County citizens in living healthier lives. The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of HR Generalist 4 / Employee Relations within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Human Resources Division.

Under limited supervision, performs high level human resources functions, that includes, but not limited to talent management, compensation, employee benefits, training and development, compliance, workplace safety, and employee relations in support of an organization. Assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies consistent with overall agency objectives. Primary Duties & Responsibilities :

Compiles and analyzes data or information to produce reports, documents, and outcomes of personnel issues

Conducts research on various personnel matters and compiles data, citing sources used

Analyzes data or information to produce reports and other

Coordinates and conducts training on human resource program-related topics and issues

Develops or assists in the review, development, and implementation of personnel policies and procedures

High school diploma / GED and six (6) years of professional human resource experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level HR Generalist 3 (HRP012) or position equivalent. Note : An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year-over-year.

Performance Attitudes : Data Utilization : Requires the ability to synthesize, hypothesize, and / or theorize concerning data involving modification of existing policies, strategies, and / or methods to meet unique or unusual conditions. Requires the ability to do so within the context of existing organizational theories and management principles.

Human Interaction : Requires the ability to function in a managerial capacity for a division or organizational unit; includes the ability to make decisions on procedural and technical levels.

Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Materials Utilization : Requires the ability to operate and control the actions of equipment and machinery, requiring the monitoring, adjustment, regulation, and / or setting of multiple conditions.

Verbal Attitude : Requires the ability to utilize a wide variety of reference, descriptive, advisory, and / or design data and information.

Mathematical Attitude : Requires the ability to perform moderately complex algebraic and geometric operations; ability to utilize principles of basic probability and statistical inference.

Functional Reasoning : Requires the ability to apply principles of logical or synthesis functions; deal with concrete and abstract variables; and analyze major problems that require complex planning for interrelated activities that can span one or several work units.

Situational Reasoning : Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in critical and / or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.
