American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Orthopedics position with a day shift schedule and at least one year of recent specialty experience.
/ n / n Responsibilities / n
Work in an acute orthopedic medical-surgical unit
Hospital setting with orthopedic patient population
Day shift, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week
Uses Epic EMR for charting
May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
May be required to be on-call during regularly scheduled shifts
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care specific to orthopedic patients
Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions as defined by state standards
Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the employing organization
May be required to provide health teaching, counseling, and therapy to ensure patient well-being
/ n / n Requirements / n
Active MT or compact RN license required
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with at least an ASN
At least 1 year of recent experience in Med / Surg Orthopedics required
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
No pending licensure; license must be in hand for consideration
Epic EMR experience preferred
