As a Senior Cost Accountant youll sit at the intersection of finance and operations - partnering closely with plant and project teams to ensure costs margins and inventory are understood controlled and optimized.

As a Senior Cost Accountant youll support the integrity of financial reporting while providing insight into manufacturing and project performance.
Maintain and update standard costs BOMs and labor/overhead rates
Manage and reconcile Work-in-Progress (WIP) balances
Analyze margins variances and cost drivers
Support inventory valuation cycle counts and physical inventories
Partner with operations and project managers to resolve discrepancies
Prepare journal entries accruals and deferrals in accordance with GAAP
Perform monthly reconciliations (inventory WIP leases prepaids accruals)
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with audit schedules and documentation
Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
Provide cost and WIP inputs for planning assumptions
Deliver variance analysis with clear commentary for leadership
Develop financial and operational reporting for management
Support ERP and data improvement initiatives
Participate in special projects and cross-functional improvements
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
26 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in cost/manufacturing or project accounting
Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
Experience with ERP systems (Epicor SAP NetSuite or similar)
Advanced Excel skills (Power Query pivots lookups modeling)
Detail-oriented analytical and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
