Senior Avionics Technician

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Avionics Technician to join our team in Waterbury / Oxford, CT (OXC) . In this role, you’ll work hands-on with Honeywell Apex and Garmin avionics systems, lead installations and upgrades, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring FAA compliance. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and advancing avionics across both modern turbine and classic general aviation aircraft.

Responsibilities :

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install avionics systems (GPS, NAV / COM, ADS-B, autopilot, SATCOM, EFIS).
• Lead major installations, modifications, and STC upgrades.
• Use specialized diagnostic tools and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and maintain accurate logbooks.
• Mentor junior technicians and review their work for quality.
• Collaborate with flight crews and maintenance teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Provide AOG support when needed.
