Job Title : Research Assistant 2-B / H-1

Department : Medicine | IM Immunology and Rheumatology

The Research Assistant 2-B / H will assist and support scientific investigation to study autoimmune disease as directed in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology and Immunology. Responsibilities include :

• Conducting assigned experiments independently
• Performing molecular, cellular, and biological research techniques and procedures
• Sorting and processing tissue and blood samples
• Testing and evaluating current procedures
• Recording, consolidating, and assisting with analysis of research results
• Assisting in evaluating validity of data obtained from experimental procedures
• Summarizing data for inclusion in grant proposals and manuscripts
• Preparing research progress reports
• Assisting principal investigator with the preparation of publications, manuscripts, articles, posters, and abstracts

Minimum Education Required : Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education experience; 2-3 years' relevant experience required; ability to translate, adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge in the conduct of biological / health science research is required. Requires successful completion of a background check.
