Weekly Hours : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680-$1800

Patient Ratio : 1 : 3, 1 : 4; 1-2 labor until active labor

Call Requirement : Yes

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

EMR Systems : CPN, MEDHOST

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)

BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring certification

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Ability to work night shifts and participate in on-call rotation

Must reside more than 50 miles from the healthcare facility

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn stages

Monitor and assess fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs

Support mothers and families during the childbirth process

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care

Accurately document nursing care and interventions in EMR systems

Respond promptly to emergencies and provide critical interventions as needed
