Job Description :
The PSG Technologist is accountable for performing physiologic studies of sleep and sleep related disorders under the supervision of a staff member who is a CPSGT, RPSGT, or greater. This entry level technician provides care to patients via technology, therapeutic intervention, and coordination of care with other health care professionals.

Shift Details : Three 12 hour shifts, 7pm to 7am, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
Unit / Department : Sleep Lab- Primary Children's Lehi
Additional Details : Shift differentials given for evenings, nights and weekends
Essential Functions
Monitors and documents interactions with patients undergoing physiologic sleep studies.
Monitors and tracks equipment and supplies.
Completes record keeping and charting.
Ability to address and solve both technical and interpersonal problems.
Ability to use computerized and mechanical equipment efficiently.
Cares for patients under the direction of a preceptor or supervisor.
Obtain 10 Continuing Education Credits (CEC) related to sleep medicine annually.
Required Qualifications
High School Degree or GED
BLS Certification or RQI for Healthcare Providers
Available to work varying shifts, including night shift
Required to complete the Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program (A-Step) within 8 months of starting this role.
Specific certifications or skills as required by facility or patient population (i.e. PALS, ACLS, NRP)
PSG 1 Techs must obtain two progressive credentials as a condition of continued employment as part of the sleep clinical progression.
Earn the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) within 8 months of hire / transfer.
Earn the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential within 18 months of initial hire / transfer.
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical or patient care experience
Anatomy and medical terminology courses
If working in Idaho, PSGT Permit issued by the Idaho State Board of Medicine.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$24.06 - $37.15
