Clifton Park Pool : Lifeguard & Swim Instructor

Available Shifts (between the hours of) :

  • Monday - Thursday 5 : 30am - 8 : 30pm
  • Friday 5 : 30am - 6 : 30pm
  • Saturday & Sunday 7 : 00am - 6 : 30pm

Available Shifts :

  • Monday - Thursday 3 : 00pm - 7 : 30pm
  • Friday 3 : 30pm - 4 : 30pm
  • Saturdays 9 : 00am - 12 : 30pm

    • Minimum Qualifications (All Positions) :

  • Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
  • Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
  • LIFEGUARDS : Must have a valid lifeguard certification (within 30 days of hire) and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
  • Be able to pass the CDYMCA swim test, as administered by the Aquatic Director or designated individual
  • Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
  • Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR / AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration (completed within 30 days of hire)
  • New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
