Salary : $130,000 - $166,000, depending on experience.
2050 Partners, now part of West Monroe, is seeking amission- drivenSeniorConsultanttojoinour teamin a fully remote role.In this role, you will directly contribute to the execution and management of decarbonization consulting projects that advance the development of future greenhouse gas-reducing building codes and appliance standards. We are looking for team memberswho arepassionate aboutunderstanding clients pain points and delivering pragmatic solutions;dedicated to ourpurpose of shortening the path to carbon neutrality; and enthusiastic about developing data-driven solutions in a collaborative and dynamic consulting environment.
Depending on experience, initial assignments may include the following project areas :
- Codes and standards advocacy work, including federal and state appliance standards and test procedures, national model building codes, and industry standards
- Technical and project support for our role as technology and codes and standards experts in the California Market Transformation Administrator (MTA) program
- State building codes advancement and advocacy in multiple states
- Advocacy and education related to electric vehicle charging infrastructure and transportation emission reduction
- Advocacy and strategic policy design for local, state, and national building performance standards
Responsibilities include :
Be a trusted advisor for our clients byprovidingpragmatic advice based on defensible data and analysisManage and contribute tomultiple projects including technical research and analysis, client engagement, subcontractor management, and external stakeholder engagement including :Scoping and launching new projects
Supportingprimary and secondary researchProcuringtest equipment and arranging laboratory testsSupportinglaboratory and field investigationsFosteringcoalition-buildingSupportinglegal,regulatory, and policyreviewsDevelop and maintain budget forecasts and project schedules across multiple projectsCoordinate research with state programs and independent entitiesEnsure high-quality deliverables, including spreadsheets with supporting calculations, memos, reports, and presentationsContribute to business development and proposal writingRequired qualifications and competencies include :
Bachelors degree in engineering or technical field(s); bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred; higher degrees such as masters or Ph.D. can substitute for up to 2 years of relevant experience8+ years of relevant work experienceComfortcontributing tocomplex projectswith a problem-solving orientation that prioritizes client needsHighest ethical standardsAbility to distill complex technical findings into accessible summaries, tailor content to diverse stakeholders, and maintain consistency and rigor across multi-section documents with multiple contributorsProject management track record; strong organizational skills with experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams to manage timelines and deliverablesAbility to collaborate well with people at all levels within an organizationGreat initiative, creativity, and curiosityWork well both independently and as part of teamExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong attention to detailConfidence, enthusiasm, humility, and discretionWillingness forperiodictravelDesire and ability to work remotelyDesiredqualifications and competencies include experience in one or more of the following categories :
