Job Summary : Under the supervision of a physician, provides direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services to patients of a specific population served based on the norms for specialty.
Team oriented gastroenterology and hepatology practice of 5 board certified gastroenterologists, 4 physician assistants and 2 nurse practitioners seeks a full-time NP or PA to join our team!
This position is a full-time outpatient gastroenterology opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience in gastroenterology; however, candidates with extensive clinical experience will be considered. The group has been very successful with the training of PAs and NPs to develop the skills needed to become outstanding gastroenterology consultants.
The candidate will see outpatient consultations, manage chronic illnesses such as cirrhosis and inflammatory bowel disease, and perform office evaluation of urgent gastroenterology problems.
Board certification as a NP or PA, a Maine NP or PA license, and DEA certificate are required.
