Solution Architect of Data & AI State of Oklahoma
The Solution Architect of Data & AI enables design and development of end-to-end solutions across the State. This role blends modern data architecture with hands?on solution engineering to design, implement, and govern the technical foundations of enterprise data and AI capabilities. The architect sets standards, codes reference implementations, and ensures scalable, secure, and responsible adoption of advanced analytics and AI across State agencies, boards, and commission.

Full-time 40?hour work weeks.Support the Information Services Division.Salary is based on education and experience.Position is on-site in Oklahoma City, OK.Key Responsibilities
Advise on architecture for statewide Data & AI platforms, spanning GCP, Azure, AWS, and on?prem environments.Design and code full?stack data and AI solutions (data ingestion, pipelines, model development, deployment, and integration into dashboards and applications).Evaluate and implement emerging AI / ML tools and frameworks while ensuring responsible AI practices (bias mitigation, explainability, monitoring).Build and maintain reference implementations for pipelines, MLOps patterns, and reusable frameworks to accelerate agency adoption.Maintain commitment to responsible AI and citizen?first data practices.Partner with engineers, analysts, and future data scientists to co?develop production?grade solutions.Establish standards for coding practices, CI / CD pipelines, and model lifecycle management.Work with the senior leadership across State agencies and enterprise IT to translate strategic priorities into technical designs and delivery roadmaps.Mentor and coach engineers, analysts, and junior staff to grow the states Data & AI team.Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.Minimum Qualifications
Requirements include a bachelors degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a degree equivalent, and 5+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, AI / ML model development, and systems integration.
Preference Will Be Given To Candidates Who
Possess a masters degree in AI / ML, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Architecture.Demonstrated success in delivering production?grade AI solutions at scale.Public sector or regulated industry experience strongly preferred.About OMES
