Bridge Inspector

Job Overview

• Seeking a Bridge Inspector to support and lead bridge inspection efforts across Indiana.
• Assist with onsite bridge inspections, data entry, and bridge inspection reports.
• Manage bridge inspection equipment, schedule bridge inspection personnel etc.
• Eventually lead onsite bridge inspections.
• Work and coordinate with roadway, water, environmental, survey, and utility engineers.

Qualifications:

• Be a Registered Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); or hold bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology from an ABET college or university and be a registered EIT; OR
• In lieu of degree, 3+ years of equivalent work experience with a focus on bridge design, construction, or maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of INDOT bridge inspection guidelines is optional.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willing to travel for bridge inspections (day and overnight trips as required).
• Willing to eventually become an Indiana Bridge Inspection Team Leader.
