Machining Operations : Oversee and participate in the setup, operation, and maintenance of various machining equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders.
Quality Documentation : Develop, implement, and maintain quality documentation and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Production Scheduling : Coordinate and schedule production activities to meet deadlines and optimize workflow.
Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve machining and production issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
Safety Compliance : Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall shop performance.
Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and supplies to ensure availability for production needs.
Reporting : Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, quality control, and team performance to management.
Requirements :
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Technical Skills : Proficient in machining techniques, including CNC programming, setup, and operation. Strong understanding of machining processes and equipment.
Quality Control : Experience with quality documentation, inspection procedures, and compliance with industry standards.
Leadership : Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
Safety Awareness : Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a machine shop environment.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in machining or a related field is preferred.
