Description :

The position is for a Registered Nurse in a telemetry float pool.

The unit is known for having 34 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 : 6.

Common diagnoses include heart dysrhythmias, gastrointestinal issues, dialysis, and general medical patients.

Travelers will need to float as required to different locations within the region.

The unit has charge nurses and house supervisors available.

There are nurse aides to assist with patient care.

Registered nurses do not read EKG strips, as this task is handled by monitoring technicians.

Experience in progressive care or intensive care is preferred.

Nurses will be expected to titrate a few low dose dopamine drips.

Nurses are required to float to telemetry units as needed.

There is an expectation to work weekends and holidays as required.

All applicants must hold current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
