ER RN Job Details – Fergus Falls, MN

Location : Fergus Falls, MN 56537 – Discover a friendly Midwestern town surrounded by lakes and parks, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and those seeking a supportive community.

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 – End : 3 / 9 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Emergency Department (Level 3 Trauma Center, Acute Stroke Ready Certified)

Shifts : 12-hour rotating day / night shifts; every 3rd weekend required

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1940-$2080

Charting System : Paragon & Touchworks (Allscripts)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required

Basic cardiology knowledge and ability to interpret cardiac strips

Tele nursing skills required

Experience with IV drips and ventilators (with respiratory therapy support)

Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

ER RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations

Assess, triage, and manage patients with acute and emergent medical conditions

Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Administer medications, monitor IV drips, and manage ventilated patients as needed

Accurately document all patient care activities in the EMR (Paragon & Touchworks)

Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
