Job Description

The Correctional Psychologist provides psychological services to inmates within a correctional facility. Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, providing individual and group therapy, and developing treatment plans to address mental health issues, substance abuse, and behavioral disorders. The psychologist works closely with correctional staff to support inmate rehabilitation and ensure a safe and secure environment.

Setting : Correctional

Responsibilities :

Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of inmates.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Provide individual and group therapy sessions.

Monitor inmate progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Maintain detailed and confidential clinical records.

Collaborate with correctional staff and other healthcare professionals.

Provide crisis intervention and support within the correctional setting.

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Newly licensed are welcome!!

Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.).

Current CA state licensure as a Psychologist.

Contract Role :

Full or Part Time Employment

Part-time must work 3 days minimum

Weekend opportunities are available

Flexible scheduling options are available, allowing for either 8 or 10-hour workdays.
