TANA is looking for an experienced sous chef to join our strong management team. We are a fine dining Italian restaurant from Michael Gulotta. This position reports directly to the Chef and aids in supervising all kitchen operations and Back of House staff to ensure smooth execution of service and continued communication with the Front of House.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assume a leadership role in the kitchen, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring seamless service
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and teamwork
- Manage food preparation, presentation and service to meet and exceed quality standards
- Monitor kitchen inventory, control costs, and facilitate efficient ordering of supplies
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and food hygiene
- Assist in developing and implementing kitchen policies and procedures
- “Set the tone” to contribute to maintaining a positive and productive kitchen environment
- Assist with ongoing staff training and taking corrective action
- Assisting with recipe development and updating par sheets
- Help monitor and maintain equipment and facilities
REQUIREMENTS :
