Job descriptionKey Responsibilities Remediate Word and PDF documents for accessibility compliance Apply correct heading structure ALT text reading order tagging bookmarks and metadata Convert documents cleanly between Word and PDF while maintaining accessibility Identify accessibility issues and correct formatting problems Communicate with content owners to clarify intent or resolve issues Ensure all deliverables meet Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards Use Accessibility Checkers to validate documents Required Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word accessibility features (styles headings tables lists alt text) Advanced experience in Adobe Acrobat Pro (tagging reading order accessibility tools Understanding of Section 508 WCAG 2.1 AA and ADA requirements Ability to remediate complex documents including forms tables and multi-section reports High attention to detail and strong quality assurance skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Experience with large organizations or government / public sector is a plus Preferred Skills (Optional) Experience with AEM Forms fillable PDFs or form accessibility Knowledge of screen readers (JAWS NVDA) Experience writing accessibility reports or documenting remediation steps
