Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Blazer Jobs is partnering with a local Duncanville, TX school district to hire a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time School Counselor for the current school year. This role focuses primarily on middle and high school students , supporting their social, emotional, and academic growth through proactive and data-driven counseling initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Student Support :

Provide individual and small-group counseling to help students manage emotions, overcome challenges, and build essential social skills.

SEL Program Implementation :

Deliver classroom-based social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons and activities aligned with district curriculum and Texas state mental health education standards.

Collaboration :

Partner with teachers, administrators, parents, and community organizations to promote student well-being and contribute to a positive school climate.

Coordination :

Coordinate referrals and connect students with community and school-based resources addressing personal, academic, or family challenges.

Data Analysis :

Use data to assess student performance, identify barriers, and guide development of targeted counseling interventions.

Program Development :

Support the integration of SEL initiatives into daily school routines and long-term student support plans.

State Requirements

Must hold an active Texas School Counselor Endorsement .

Prior experience with middle or high school caseloads is preferred.

Candidates who do not meet requirements will not be considered.

Renewals for the following school year are based on performance and district needs.
