Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Medicine Coder (Coding Specialist 2).

Key Responsibilities

Review clinical documentation and assign appropriate coding for services

Monitor compliance with coding regulations and coordinate billing information

Serve as a resource for coding leadership and participate in educational sessions

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED

Minimum two years of coding experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT

Coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA

Active AHIMA membership may be required for some positions

Knowledge of medical coding guidelines and federal / state billing laws
