Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) with at least 6 months of experience, ARRT(R), BLS, and New Mexico licensure for a weekday day shift role with on-call responsibilities.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in an Interventional Radiology unit
  • Day shift, 4x10 hour schedule, 7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Weekend and after-hours on-call required, with call rotated among technologists
  • Procedures performed include adrenal and mesenteric angiography, aortography, chemoembolization, embolizations, stent placements, vertebroplasty, TIPS, central line and port placements, dialysis graft interventions, and more
  • Hybrid OR and PACS system utilized in daily work
  • No floating required outside of Interventional Radiology
  • No local candidates within a 75-mile radius
  • Technologists rotate in call coverage on weeknights and weekends
  • Personal transportation is required
  • P / F testing required prior to start
  • Compliance steps must be completed promptly after offer, including a drug screen within 30 days before start
  • Return travelers must have a 12-month gap from previous employment before being eligible
  • Approved block scheduling is available
  • Requested time off over 7 days requires approval
  • Holiday time off requests limited to one holiday bundle per assignment
  • Facility is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • Scrubs / dress code not specified

  • Minimum of 6 months Interventional Radiology Tech experience required
  • Active ARRT(R), BLS, and New Mexico license required (license can be pending at time of consideration)
  • Strong proficiency with a range of IR procedures including angiography, embolization, and central line placement
  • Experience maintaining equipment, sterile technique, and working with PACS
  • COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with provider documentation
  • Valid driver’s license required; if unavailable, a written transportation plan is needed
  • RQI certifications are not accepted
  • First-time travelers are not accepted
