Quality Assurance Plant Monitor / Truck Sampler

Job Summary : The Quality Assurance Plant Monitor / Truck Sampler - De-linter is responsible for supporting the Quality Control team in monitoring and testing cottonseed for quality standards in both raw and processed forms. The role emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). The position requires working in industrial and warehouse environments, performing repetitive tests, and maintaining clean and safe work areas. Key Responsibilities : Conduct plant monitoring tests on cottonseed to ensure compliance with quality standards. Perform quality checks including truck sampling, sample de-linting, acid percentage, dryer and buffer temperatures, bushel weights, pH, cleanout percentages, seed count, tare analysis, seed appearance, bag analysis, and calibration of scales. Inspect packaged finished products to verify they meet established quality requirements. Assist with variety cleanouts and record findings accurately. Enter data into the Plant Monitoring Spreadsheet and report any deviations from quality parameters. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with all safety practices. Stand and walk for extended periods in an industrial or warehouse setting. Operate and work near industrial equipment such as delinter, dryers, buffers, cleaners, gravity tables, seed tanks, conveyors, baggers, scales, palletizers, wrappers, forklifts, and loading ramps. Use laboratory equipment including temperature probes, pH meters, beakers, distilled water, buffers, scales, bushel weight apparatus, and seed counters. Follow all safety and quality procedures while utilizing required PPE (safety glasses, coveralls, gloves, safety boots, and hardhat). Required Skills : Attention to detail and accuracy. Basic Microsoft Excel skills. Reliability and consistency in task completion. Basic math skills. Technical aptitude (preferred). Education : High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience : Previous experience in a manufacturing, quality assurance, or agricultural environment preferred.
