Your Role :

The Director of Plant Operations oversees all maintenance, repair, safety, and housekeeping functions within the community-ensuring comfort, compliance, and peace of mind for residents and staff alike.

What You'll Do :

Lead and mentor the maintenance and housekeeping teams , fostering pride and accountability.

Oversee preventive maintenance programs for key systems (HVAC, fire alarm, emergency call, generator, irrigation, etc.).

Conduct quarterly community inspections and partner with vendors to ensure timely repairs and compliance.

Manage compliance with OSHA, EPA, fire codes , and local / state regulations.

Monitor labor and budgets, ensuring efficient operations and timely work-order completion.

Oversee apartment turns, landscaping, and exterior upkeep-maintaining curb appeal that reflects Distinctive Living's high standards.

Maintain safety protocols, inventory controls, and accurate engineering records.

Be a visible leader-ready to jump in, problem-solve, and lead by example.

What You Bring :

High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.

3+ years of maintenance or plant operations experience (senior living, hospitality, or healthcare preferred).

Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety codes.

Strong leadership and organizational skills; able to coach, train, and inspire teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and maintenance systems.

A valid driver's license and the ability to perform hands-on work (painting, ladder work, etc.).
