The position of Warehouse Leader within our Molecular Diagnostics Business Unit located in Itasca, Illinois.
The Warehouse Leader will coordinate the day-to-day activities of a team of para-professionals responsible for receiving, handling, storing, recording, and dispatching goods in a store or warehouse.
What You'll Work On
- Ensure sufficient inventory is available to meet organizational needs by ordering products and managing both out-of-stock and overstocked items.
- Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records, retrieve stored information, place orders, or respond to inquiries (e.g., inventory levels or delivery schedules).
- Monitor warehouse activities to ensure goods are stored correctly and safely, and that warehouse space is utilized efficiently.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and equipment protection, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prioritize and assign tasks to optimize team resources and ensure work schedules and targets are met.
- Supervise staff to ensure all warehouse activities are conducted safely, including the operation of machines and equipment.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining effectiveness of the quality system
- Responsible for ensuring all deadlines are met, including order fulfillment to customers, affiliates and distributors, and CAPA and quality-related initiatives
- Communication and coordination with other departments to ensure business needs are met
- Attend meetings, and drive department tasks to completion
- Complete performance assessments, reviews, and corrective counseling as needed.
- Oversee implementation of new procedures
Required Qualifications
Bachelors' degree with 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Distribution, and / or OperationsStrong knowledge of shipping / warehousing operations, budgeting, IATA, DOT, FDA and ISO regulationsAt least 1 years of personnel managementPreferred Qualifications
Demonstrate ability to lead medium to large scale division-wide projectsAudit responsibility in preparation of warehouse spaces, and serve as a SME during audit walkthroughs (internal and external)Act as process owner of warehouse systemsConduct tier meetings with Warehouse staffMaintain and present KPIs and department metrics to department leadersIdentify areas for improvement, and drive initiatives to improve overall department health and successThe base pay for this position is $85,300.00 - $170,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
