M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic I - F-16 Flightline APG :
General Requirements :
Conducts daily aircraft launch and recovery operations, End-of-Runway inspections, and aircraft
inspections. Assists with troubleshooting. Maintains, services, and inspects aircraft, structures,
systems, components, and related support equipment. Removes, installs, and conducts functional
tests of repaired aircraft systems and components. May assist in adjusting, aligning, and rigging
aircraft systems. Inspects and identifies aircraft for corrosion prevention and repair. Reads and
interprets manufacturers and aircraft's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data,
engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or
replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar
inspections as required. Receives technical guidance from Managers, Supervisors, Leads or
higher-level technicians as required. May be required to aid writing / initiating engineering
technical assistance requests. May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications as
directed by management. Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or
equipment maintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make
entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required. Complete all assignments and
tasks as directed by managers, supervisors, leads, and more senior technicians.
Specific Requirements :
Minimum of 4 years performing as a USAF or sister service fighter aircraft Crew Chief with at
least 1 year as an F-16 Crew Chief within the last 10 years required. Working knowledge of MIS
systems, forms documentation and strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required.
