Responsible for approximately 770 workload units of general and various types of medical / patient care equipment. This includes monitoring, diagnostic, therapeutic and life saving / support devices. Repair, service, calibrate, install and perform preventive maintenance on a wide variety of patient care equipment. The maintenance of these devices includes troubleshooting to component level and routine periodic inspections. Complete acceptance inspections on new equipment and provide technical support to the Nursing staff and equipment operators. Follow the departmental and Medical Center policies and procedures. Assignment areas include Critical Care and Intensive Care units. Conduct pre-purchase evaluations and installations of medical equipment. Provide on-call coverage. Prioritize and delegate the non assigned service calls for the department's technical staff. Assist other technicians with complex repairs. Process the distribution / collection of hazard / recall notifications and the corresponding responses / reports amongst technicians. Prepares and distributes related follow up reports to management and other departments. Perform other related duties as required.

Salary Range : $54.68 - $72.11 / hour

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience as BMET III or 14 years total biomedical experience.

AAMI Certification.
