Position Summary
The Staff Accountant ensures accurate financial operations and compliance, supporting Empower's mission to provide affordable, quality medications. This role manages reporting, reconciliations, and insights to drive strategic decisions and improve efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares and analyzes financial statements, sales reports, and commission reports while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, tax filings, and audit preparation.
- Manages general ledger entries, reconciliations, and monthly capital expenditure tracking to support accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
- Processes accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, monitors payments, and manages credit and collection activities while fostering strong vendor relationships.
- Performs detailed financial analysis, including trend and budget variance analysis, revenue forecasting, and expense tracking, to support strategic decision-making and planning.
- Collaborates with upper management on budgeting strategies, coordinates annual tax filings, and mentors junior accounting staff to ensure professional development and operational excellence.

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with healthcare or manufacturing experience preferred, not required.Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.Benefits
