Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department (ED) of a hospital setting Level 1 Trauma Center environment with a diverse, high-acuity patient population Schedule consists of 12-hour mid shifts (12 : 00PM-12 : 00AM), three days per week Two 13-hour call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with one-hour onsite response expectation Mandatory two-week night shift rotation for all travelers Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic charting experience required Responsible for comprehensive emergency patient assessments and individualized care planning Implements and continuously evaluates nursing interventions appropriate for the ED Ensures patient and staff safety by adhering to established protocols and promptly reporting hazards Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families to provide patient-centered care Maintains accurate, timely documentation in Epic Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract No travel partners accepted for this assignment Contingent workers cannot exceed 1 year of continuous assignment and must take a 6-month break before returning Compliance with onboarding and testing deadlines is strictly enforced Requirements Active Illinois RN license (temporary license accepted) Minimum of one year of recent emergency nursing experience; three years strongly preferred ASN required; BSN preferred Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association) Level 1 Trauma Center experience required Epic EMR experience required Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618657.
