This role offers the opportunity to contribute to modernizing and enhancing critical operational software systems for a high-impact government program. The Software Developer will design, implement, and maintain applications and utilities that streamline workflows, support automation, and improve overall efficiency. Working remotely in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, you will interact with multiple teams, analyze complex requirements, and deliver solutions that meet strict security and compliance standards. Success in this role requires strong technical skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality software while supporting mission-critical operations.

Accountabilities :

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance software solutions to support operational modernization efforts.
  • Create and maintain Chatbots and other automation tools to improve efficiency.
  • Analyze user needs and translate requirements into functional software applications.
  • Triaging incidents, determining root causes, and implementing fixes or enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver projects on time.
  • Test software, document issues, and manage bug resolution using tools like Jira.
  • Support software design and database development to optimize operational workflows.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow and AWS development.
  • Proven experience developing Chatbots or similar automation solutions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a federal clearance (USCIS Public Trust).
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and IT modernization projects.
  • Experience analyzing user requirements and delivering tailored software solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Preferred : previous experience on USCIS projects or ELIS tools.
  • Experience supervising multi-vendor software projects and coordinating with diverse teams.
