Summary

The EHS Engineer ensures a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace through proactive identification, mitigation, and continuous improvement of environmental and safety risks. This role partners closely with operations, facilities, and manufacturing engineering to embed safety into processes, designs, and culture. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific EHS policies, procedures, and training programs in accordance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and local regulations.
• Conduct hazard assessments, risk analyses, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for new and existing processes.
• Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and drive corrective / preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor industrial hygiene (air, noise, fumes, ergonomic risks) and recommend engineering or administrative controls.
• Manage safety documentation, audits, and reporting to corporate and regulatory agencies.
• Support PFMEA EHS risk evaluation and control measures.
• Drive continuous improvement through metrics TRIR, near-miss trends, leading indicators
• Coordinate emergency response planning, fire safety, and hazardous material management (SDS, labeling, storage).
• Champion a culture of accountability with respect to safety
